Whitecode Consulting’s Jason Tramontano celebrates qualification in Certified Data Centre Design

  •

Jason Tramontano, Technical Director at Whitecode Consulting has successfully completed the Certified Data Centre Design Professional programme (CDCDP), an essential certification for gaining technical knowledge of data centre architecture and component operating conditions.

The UK data centre sector is experiencing an unprecedented boom, mainly driven by the rapid growth of artificial intelligence, with spending on building new data centres expected to exceed £10 billion annually by 2029.

The centres require continuous, uninterrupted operations for the design life of the facility, with even the slightest problem with the cooling system or power supplies having detrimental effects.

Whitecode Consulting provides crucial building services engineering from concept design through to construction on both new build data centres and existing data centres to ensure compliancy and efficiency. Jason Tramontano’s new certification in Data Centre Design is just one example of Whitecode Consulting’s commitment to excellence through continuous learning and development.

The five-day course teaches best practice principles for the design, construction and operation of computer rooms and data centre operational support facilities. It explores key elements such as electrical distribution systems, air-conditioning, building support systems and data cabling through a combination of technical knowledge, practical application and strategic management skills.

Jason Tramontano commented on the achievement: “The data centre industry is truly gaining traction, which is why it is important as a company and individually to keep up to date with the latest industry standards and best practices. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and I now look forward to continuing to pass this knowledge onto our clients to help them design and build more energy-efficient, resilient and compliant data centres.”

Over half of the data centres located within the UK are currently non-compliant with American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditional Engineers (ASHRAE) thermal guidelines. If you want to build a compliant, efficient and resilient data centre then contact us today.
