Sika highly commended at SPRA awards

Sika’s Roofing Division is proud to announce that it has been highly commended in several categories at the Single Ply Roofing Association (SPRA) Awards 2025, which recognise achievements in delivering excellence, innovation, and sustainability within the roofing industry.

Sika, working in partnership with Aim Developments Limited, was highly commended in the Best Detailing category, for its work on Robin House, a meaningful refurbishment project involving the upgrade of a 650m2 roof at a children’s hospice in Balloch. The project was recognised for its exceptional detailing and was also highly commended in the Best Refurbishment category.

In the Health and Safety Award, Sika was highly commended for its work on the Capita Park project in Rotherham, delivered in partnership with Central Group. This large-scale refurbishment involved replacing 11,000m² of roofing on a fully operational call centre facility. The project was carried out with meticulous health and safety planning, allowing all works to be completed without disrupting day-to-day operations. Judges praised the project for its flawless execution under live-site conditions and its demonstration of best-in-class safety practices.

Mark Gatrell, Business Unit Manager - Roofing at Sika commented: “While we didn’t receive a category win this year, we are extremely proud to be highly commended in such competitive fields. This recognition reflects the quality of our partnerships, the skill of our specialist roofing contractors, and the attention to detail that goes into every Sika-supported project.”

The SPRA Awards Luncheon, held on 12th June at the Hilton NEC Birmingham, brought together industry professionals to honour outstanding achievements in single ply roofing. Sika congratulates all the winners and fellow commendations and remains committed to raising the standard across the roofing industry.
