Reaching fundraising target par for the course for DataScope and PSI Global Group

DataScope and PSI Global raised more than €21,000 for the suicide prevention charity Teac Tom at a charity golf day at the prestigious K Club in County Kildare on Thursday 3^rd September.

Teac Tom, also known as the Thomas Hayes Trust, provides vital suicide intervention and mental health services, supporting families and individuals across Ireland. With an open-door policy, a 24/7 helpline, mental health awareness talks, and corporate days for workplaces, the charity’s work is a lifeline for many.

The charity was founded by Angela Hayes in 2014, after she lost both her husband and her 19-year-old son, Thomas, to suicide. Keen to do what she could to ensure no other family endured that pain, Angela developed the Thomas Hayes Trust to support those who need it most.

Mental health, especially in the construction industry, has come into sharper focus in recent years. Construction carries unique pressures, from the strain of managing tight budgets and deadlines to time away from loved ones, so having access to the right support at the right time is paramount.

DataScope and PSI Global used the event to bring almost 100 golfers together, including many key customers from across the Irish data centre industry, for a day of golf, networking, and community spirit. The event crucially gave those in attendance the platform to initiate conversations around men’s mental health while raising vital funds for a hugely important cause.

The golf day was rounded off by a panel of Irish sporting figures, chaired by two-time All-Ireland Senior Hurling winning manager and executive leadership advisor Liam Sheedy. The panel featured 2026 All-Ireland winning manager Andy Moran, four-time champion and Elite Dual-Sport performer Kieran Donaghy, six-time winner John Kiely, and Kieran McGeeney, All-Ireland winning manager and leadership consultant.

With a focus on leadership, culture and high performance, the panellists all shared some superb insights on the importance of resilience and experience in not just professional sports but business.
