Mira launch new energy efficient shower

  •

Mira Showers is delighted to introduce the new Mira Vista HeatloopTM – an innovative and stylish electric shower specially designed to work in combination with waste water heat recovery for showers (WWHRS) to significantly reduce energy consumption and help property developers meet the Future Homes Standard (FHS).

With showering accounting for up to 75% of household hot water use, and the ever-tightening building regulations and FHS requiring substantial carbon emission reductions, the Vista HeatloopTM will play a vital role in the UK’s decarbonisation journey when coupled with a WWHRS.

Incorporating pioneering technologies, the Vista HeatloopTM joins its sister product – the Mira Advance HeatloopTM – in working hand-in-hand with Recoup WWHRS to achieve annual energy savings of up to 40%, reducing energy costs by up to £126 per year.

Unlike conventional electric showers that are not able to adjust to changes in elevated incoming water conditions when coupled with a WWHRS, the Vista HeatloopTM features intelligent monitoring to automatically adjust power based on the incoming conditions.

By safely recycling the energy from the WWHRS, the Mira Vista HeatloopTM efficiently and quickly adapts to fluctuations in flow and temperature. This enables users to enjoy consistent temperatures and performance, with no sudden scalding or cold blasts.

Compensating for any winter flow fluctuations, the Vista HeatloopTM provides around 35% better performance in winter, compared to conventional electric showers, and a consistent showering performance throughout the entire year.

The Vista HeatloopTM is a cost-efficient product solution for meeting Part L energy requirements, making it ideal for installation in new builds for property developers.

While the Mira Vista HeatloopTM is designed to significantly reduce energy consumption, it doesn’t sacrifice usability or style. In fact, it features an easy-to-use dial and digital display that provides users with feedback on their water and energy use while incorporating an award-winning contemporary design and enhancing the showering performance.

To provide customer choice and support upgrades, it comes in two colour finishes, and also has a dual outlet option available. When coupled with a WWHRS, it can also be offered as a SAP-neutral second showering option in the main bathroom, allowing over-the-bath upgrades.

Stefanie Geis, Senior Product Manager, at Mira Showers, said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of the new Mira Vista HeatloopTM. Following the launch of the Mira Advance HeatloopTM, the new Vista range continues the pioneering work of Mira Showers, supporting UK decarbonisation and the reduction of energy consumption attributed to showering.

“The Vista HeatloopTM, along with the Mira Advance HeatloopTM, will help property developers enhance the quality and marketability of the properties, while reducing energy bills for the future building occupants.”
