Leviat announce new EPDs for key product ranges

  •

Leviat, a global leader in engineered connections, is proud to announce Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) will be available to architects, engineers and contractors for a comprehensive range of market-leading products. These verified documents provide clear, comparable data on the full lifecycle impact of Leviat’s products.

An EPD is a standardised document that details the environmental performance of a product throughout its lifecycle, from raw material extraction and production to air and water emissions, and end-of-life waste. By offering this comprehensive data, EPDs enable specifiers to compare products from different manufacturers on a level playing field and select those with a lower environmental impact.

The latest additions to Leviat’s EPD portfolio cover products from Leviat’s well-known brands, and include:

These are in addition to Leviat’s existing EPDs for Halfen HIT Thermally Insulated Connections and Halfen Cast-in Anchor Channel Systems.

Commenting on the EPD verification scheme, Jessica Marsh, Leviat's Sustainability and Environmental Engineer, said: “The launch of our Environmental Product Declarations indicates a promising step towards a more sustainable future. By providing clear and accessible information about the environmental impact of our products, EPDs will enable our customers to make informed choices and enable Leviat to focus on improving life cycle modules with the largest impact – helping us to achieve our short and long term sustainability goals.”

Leviat, an ISO14001 accredited business, is committed to a 42% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, with a long term goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050.

Leviat’s EPDs can be downloaded on the Leviat as well as Halfen and Ancon product brand websites. They are also published on the international database in the Environdec (www.environdec.com) and IBU (www.ibu-epd.com) public libraries.
