Keyfix shortlisted as a Finalist at the 2024 Building Awards

As the inventors of the innovative and market-leading Non-Combustible Cavity Tray System (NCCT), Keyfix has been shortlisted for the highly sought-after Manufacturer of the Year award at the upcoming Buildings Awards.

As one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of non-combustible cavity solutions for external masonry facades 11metres+, Keyfix takes pride in delivering highly innovative and effective solutions that help clients meet stringent quality, buildability, and sustainability standards.

Keen to develop a solution for use across the entire sector, Keyfix worked closely with professionals from across the industry to design and manufacture a system that was simple to understand, easy to install, and avoids the need for future alterations.

The result was the company’s patented Non-combustible Cavity Tray System (NCCT).

This A1 fire rated NCCT System is fully BBA-certified and approved by Premier Guarantee and LABC Warranty. Cavity Trays are one of the only components that travel through vertical fire barriers, so it’s imperative that these products do not contribute to fire loading if a fire were to start. Keyfix’s Non-combustible Cavity Tray System is manufactured from non-combustible Grade 304 austenitic stainless steel material, ensuring that it will not contribute to fire loading and will successfully channel any moisture in the cavity back out of the building.

Commercially viable, this rapid-build NCCT system also features a unique design that enables the stainless steel tray to be self-supporting across the cavity, requiring no support from the internal structure. Saving valuable time on-site, Keyfix’s NCCT comes with Split Pins and Jointing Pieces, designed to pin overlapping trays together to ensure simple and efficient installation on site. Additionally, as the NCCT has no connection with the inner skin, this innovative and highly trusted product is not affected by issues associated with thermal bridging and differential movement.
