Doka awarded EcoVadis Silver rating
Doka has been awarded a silver rating by the internationally recognised sustainability rating provider EcoVadis. The accolade places Doka among the top 15% of all companies assessed worldwide, underscoring the company’s commitment to responsible and future-oriented business practices across the entire value chain.
Robert Hauser, Doka CEO, said: “The EcoVadis Silver rating shows that Doka is among the leading companies in the industry when it comes to sustainability. This is an important signal for our customers and partners, who are placing increasing importance on transparent and verifiable sustainability performance.”
EcoVadis is the world’s leading provider of sustainability ratings, operating a network of more than 150,000 assessed companies. In the 2026 assessment, Doka ranks among the top 15% of all companies assessed.
EcoVadis evaluates companies according to international sustainability standards across the areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, covering a broad range of non-financial management systems.
Julia Weber, Head of Sustainability at Doka, said: “In the environmental category, Doka achieved an outstanding score of 91 out of 100 points. This places us among the top performers in our industry.”
EcoVadis assesses how consistently sustainability is integrated into processes. “The Silver rating shows that we have made significant progress in this area,” Julia Weber added.
Doka also received consistently positive ratings across all other categories. These results are based, among other things, on measures related to occupational health and safety such as noise reduction in production, as well as training and awareness programs on compliance and information security for all employees.
Leading the way across the board
A key driver behind the strong environmental performance is Doka’s clear commitment to science-based climate targets. As the first company in the formwork and scaffolding industry, Doka committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) at the end of 2024, sending a strong signal for measurable and transparent climate action.
To achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, the company focuses on two key levers: decarbonisation and circular economy. This includes expanding renewable energy sources, installing additional photovoltaic systems at its sites, electrifying its vehicle fleet, and continuously reducing emissions across the entire value chain. As part of its circular economy approach, Doka focuses on durable products as well as an established rental model, including repair and refurbishment services for formwork and scaffolding. This ensures materials remain in circulation for as long as possible and that resources are used efficiently.
This approach is also evident in product development. New products such as the Xlife top formwork sheet integrate recycled materials and are designed for multiple reuse on construction sites. As a result, Doka develops products that not only deliver economic value but also contribute measurably to reducing emissions.
A key foundation for these measures is consistent data transparency: Doka records its global corporate carbon footprint across all locations and already provides Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data for more than 7,000 products. This creates the basis for informed, data-driven decisions – both internally and for customers.
As an internationally established platform, EcoVadis creates transparency and comparability in the assessment of sustainability performance. For Doka, the award is therefore not only a confirmation of its progress in this field, but also an important signal to customers and partners who increasingly rely on reliable and transparent sustainability standards.
