Dalnavie Woodland wins prestigious James Jones Trophy

  •

Dalnavie Woodland has been awarded the James Jones Trophy for the best new commercial woodland at Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards. This accolade recognises the exceptional efforts in transforming the land and contributing to climate change mitigation.

Located in the Scottish Highlands, the Dalnavie Woodland project, managed by Tillhill Forestry, is a significant carbon offset initiative for CPI EuroMix. The project has successfully converted previously underutilised land into a thriving commercial woodland, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and biodiversity.

The woodland not only serves as a carbon sink, helping to offset emissions, but also enhances the local ecosystem by providing a habitat for various species of flora and fauna. This transformation aligns with broader environmental goals, highlighting how commercial interests can harmoniously coexist with ecological preservation.

By supporting this initiative, CPI EuroMix contributes to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting environmental stewardship. The project demonstrates how corporate responsibility can drive positive environmental change.

Tony O’Sullivan, CEO of CPI EuroMix said: “I’m delighted to hear the Dalnavie Woodland project has received this prestigious award. CPI EuroMix’s involvement in the Dalnavie Woodland project shows our dedication to sustainable practices.”

The recognition of Dalnavie Woodland with the James Jones Trophy celebrates a significant achievement in commercial forestry and environmental sustainability. It stands as a beacon of what can be achieved when businesses and environmental goals align, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future.
