CCT and Extrudakerb Partner on A164 Junction Improvements
Concise Construction Testing Ltd (CCT) is proud to be working with Extrudakerb, a specialist in slipform concrete safety barriers and drainage systems, on the A164 junction improvement project — a scheme designed to make journeys safer and smoother for people across the region.
At the heart of this work are the drainage channels, a critical element in ensuring long-term durability and safety. Every truck that arrives on site undergoes a concrete slump test and an air test, carried out by CCT’s team to guarantee consistency and quality.
On-site testing is only the beginning. For every 50 metres of concrete poured, CCT performs a concrete cube test back at its in-house laboratory. This rigorous process ensures that the materials meet the highest standards, giving clients and the public confidence that the infrastructure will stand the test of time.
Extrudakerb brings decades of expertise in concrete and asphalt kerbing systems, with a reputation for exceeding customer expectations in quality and safety. Together, CCT and Extrudakerb are delivering junctions that combine innovative design with proven durability.
“Our role is to make sure every pour is backed by science and precision,” said Lee Donson, Managing Director. “Working alongside Extrudakerb means we can deliver quality and confidence at every stage.”
By combining on-site expertise with laboratory precision, CCT and Extrudakerb are helping deliver junctions that are not only functional but resilient — strengthening connections for years to come.
