Airzone solutions set to power energy efficiency across the UK
Airzone, Europe’s leading manufacturer of HVAC control and integration systems has announced a formal UK launch. The strategic decision comes at a critical time for the UK in terms of remaining on track with the government’s net zero target.
Founded in 1997, Airzone has gained industrywide recognition for creating solutions that limit energy used to heat and cool buildings – one of the most significant contributors to global CO2 emissions.
Airzone proposes to work with UK HVAC installers, specifiers and integrators to drive building performance efficiencies to create homes and commercial spaces that provide the very best in energy and cost-effective comfort.
To support the company’s growth in the UK, Airzone has invested in a designated UK based sales team. They will be working closely with installers, specifiers and integrators to provide the data and insights they need to ensure the effective specification of solutions that meet client requirements. The team will also be promoting solutions for multi-occupancy commercial buildings, such as hotels and offices, that provide integration of heating, cooling and indoor air quality to improve efficiencies and occupier comfort.
The UK teams will be focussing on Airzone’s residential solutions that are designed to manage heating including air source heat pumps, as they become more prevalent with legislation requirements in 2025. The Future Homes and Buildings Standards highlight the use of low-carbon technologies, particularly heat pumps, as a way to decarbonise buildings.
Fernando de la Cruz, New Markets EMEA Director at Airzone, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be introducing our HVAC control and integration solutions to UK installers, specifiers and integrators. For buildings and property owners, the timing couldn’t be better. From 2025, new buildings must comply with the Future Homes Standard, and Future Buildings Standard’s uplift in energy performance. Hence, the significance of our HVAC control solutions for single residential dwellings, as well as non-domestic buildings. Our solutions offer simple integration with a range of heating appliances including heat pumps, which will be mandatory in new buildings from 2025. Each system is designed as an integration tool, offering full HVAC control from the Airzone Cloud mobile app, a smart home system or a building management system (BMS). It means they are an effective, easy-to- navigate bridge to compliant, energy efficient buildings.”
Airzone’s expertise in HVAC control is achieved through partnerships with manufacturers of world-leading reputation including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Panasonic, and Toshiba, with compatibility extending to more than 170 brands. Globally recognised certification in the form of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 means Airzone products’ use in construction projects is a gateway to attaining revered sustainable building ratings including BREEAM and LEED.
As part of its UK launch, Airzone provided an exclusive preview of its residential and multiple occupancy solutions at two recent London trade shows: The Smart Buildings Show, and Build2Perform Live.
Nick Webb. Sales Account Manager, UK and Ireland at Airzone continued: “Our products received fantastic feedback from visitors at both shows. They understood that smarter HVAC control and integration was integral to compliance with ever-tighter energy standards, and a more economical, sustainable built environment. “
With innovation core to its culture, Airzone is the manufacturer for smart control systems that facilitate energy compliant, cost-efficient homes, offices, hotels and a variety of commercial and public premises without compromise to occupant comfort.
